In 2020, an aerospace engineer from a retired airline reached out to ConnectMRO's CEO for guidance on how to take the engineer's idea of removing sealant to the next level. The previous method was hours of tough, gritty work to hand scrap off sealant or rely on a 3M plastic tool that any expert would tell you wasn't doing anyone any favors. This engineer wanted to produce a revolutionized sealant remover. A new tool to remove sealant from the fasteners in the fuel tanks of planes, wing to body ferrying, etc. Leading-edge; anywhere sealant need to be removed the engineer wanted his tool to be the one removing it. He worked with a starter company to produce prototypes to show customers and get exposure.
Connect MRO took the engineer to more than 10 different MROs. He was able to get the engineer to do demos and work with the correct engineers and designers at each facility to get the parts approved.
